Distance Education Workshop - What's Happening
Now that you have a few weeks behind you, I'm sure you have a list of pros and cons about the use of the new technology in support of distance education classes. As time has passed, I have received just a few calls and emails of concerns so I am starting to think that I must have done a good job of prepping you for the change in technology.
Because we are still early in the teaching year, I have scheduled a Distance Education Teacher update for Monday, October 13. This will be held at ESU 10 in Kearney. The workshop will begin at 8:30 and go until 2:30.
The workshop has two main purposes.
- The first is to get you together to share about your experiences so far - both good and bad.
- The second is to distribute and train you on a product that will allow you to record your classes. Each school that attends will receive one of the recording units at no charge ($150 value).
Lunch will be provided but we will not be paying a substitute payment as we are providing your school with the recording device.
If you are a teacher of distance education or you provide technical (maybe even moral) support for distance education, you are invited to attend. To participate, please register at http://odie.esu10.org
